A Stroll Back in Time – Part 4

Dan Wilczek continues the popular “Stroll Back in Time” series chronicling historic buildings, interesting figures and unfulfilled dreams from Bayfield’s early days. Part IV completes the eastern stroll along Rittenhouse Avenue and touches on the important role of The Civic League in early Bayfield life. In this program, you will learn about Bayfield’s entertainment hubs: opera houses, roller rinks, and even a wrestling venue; as well as landmarks destroyed by fire. You will also get a glimpse into the hustle and bustle of various modes of transportation in this section of town over the years. The program will conclude with a tribute to James Erickson, whose life, in many ways, personifies Bayfield history.
