The Bayfield Heritage Association was recently awarded the Reuben Gold Thwaites Trophy for Local History. The Reuben Gold Thwaites Trophy is presented annually to one WHS affiliated historical organization that demonstrates excellence in its achievements in collecting, preserving and sharing history. It is referred to as the “Stanley Cup” for local history!
Christian Overland, Director & CEO of the Wisconsin Historical Society, presented the award during a ceremony on September 28.
BHA is honored to receive this award recognizing our accomplishments over the years. What a great way to celebrate our organization bringing history to life for over 50 years!
